Join us onsite to prepare hearty sandwiches that provide nourishment for shelter residents who may not be present during regular mealtimes. This activity is a meaningful way to extend care and dignity to individuals experiencing homelessness.

A contribution of $150 helps cover the cost of ingredients so that sandwiches can be prepared fresh at the shelter. Groups of up to six are welcome. In addition to making sandwiches, participants will receive a brief orientation about shelter operations and learn more about homelessness in Minneapolis, including ways to stand in solidarity with those facing housing instability in Minnesota.



Additional Notes:

-There is on-site parking and plenty of street parking along 1st Ave and Nicollet Ave. available.
- A max of 6 volunteers per group.
- All volunteers must be registered for this opportunity before entering the shelter. Those not registered before will not be allowed in the building. Walk-ins will not be admitted
- Minimum age: 10 years old. Volunteers aged 10-14 require a 1:1 adult to kid ratio in your group.
- Volunteers 15-18 require at least 1 adult over the age of 21.
